Financial Support

As a bone marrow or stem cell transplant recipient, you may be in hospital for extended periods of time. You may also need to be close to the hospital for follow up tests and visits for many months after transplant. This can sometimes mean that you are travelling a lot, or perhaps living away of home and effectively running two households: one at home where part of the family is, and another household close to the hospital. On top of that, there may be out of pocket costs associated with treatments and tests, and medication.

All that can add up to an unexpected increase in your cost of living, right at a time when you have a reduced capacity to earn.

And that’s where Arrow Bone Marrow Transplant Foundation comes in.

Our patient support program offers assistance with costs associated with your bone marrow or stem cell transplant treatment. This support can be in the form of gift cards to cover grocery and petrol costs, or perhaps help with paying utility bills or accommodation costs, but we have the flexibility to help with other expenses, too.

If you or someone you care for is having a bone marrow transplant, and financial strains are keeping you up at night, let Arrow help ease your concerns so you can focus on getting through your treatment and recovery.

Have your bone marrow transplant co-ordinator or social worker contact us to apply for assistance.
