We understand that transplant is a complicated and intensive medical treatment and that you likely have many questions. It is important that you understand as much as you can about your treatment. We provide informational resources to help you understand the transplant process, side effects, potential complications, and life after transplant. We continue to develop and improve these resources and partner with medical professionals to provide you with the most up to date and accessible information to assist you and your family.

Patient Information Guides
Arrow, in collaboration with the Blood and Marrow + Cellular Therapies Transplant Network NSW have prepared three information guides to help you better understand the transplant process and what to expect before, during, and after treatment.
There are three separate guides, depending on the type of treatment you are receiving:
• Autologous transplants – where you receive an infusion of your own blood or stem cells
• Allogeneic transplants – where you receive blood or stem cells from a donor
• Paediatric transplants – when a child is receiving a transplant.
These guides are designed to be easy to read so that you can better understand the transplant process. You can use these guides to ask your doctor for further information on any areas you have concerns or to ask further questions.

Patient information webinars
Join us on live zoom webinars to hear healthcare professionals discuss transplant-related topics, and also hear patients and carers share their lived experiences with bone marrow and stem cell transplants. There are opportunities to ask questions and meet others on a similar journey to yours, all online, so you can join from wherever you are.
This project has been made possible thanks to funding from Tour de Cure.
Webinars are held every two months. Sign up here so we can send you registration details, and keep an eye on our events tab for announcements of new sessions!
You can find recordings of past webinars on our YouTube channel.

Transplant Tribe
Transplant Tribe is a peer support group for bone marrow transplant patients and their carers.
It was established by Lyndell Wills, a bone marrow transplant recipient herself, who went looking for a bone marrow transplant specific support group to join, but couldn’t find one. Initially the group met in person in and around the Newcastle area, but COVID soon put an end to that, and the meetings became virtual events.
This change to virtual events means that it’s now easier than ever to meet with other people who have had a similar experience to you. If you’re a bone marrow/stem cell transplant patient, a CAR-T patient, or you care for someone who is, please join us.
Meetings are held monthly, on the third Thursday of the month between 5:00 and 6:00 pm.
Sign up here to receive information and registration links for the meetings.
