Arrow is the only national charity dedicated to helping medical researchers improve bone marrow and stem cell transplant outcomes for patients.
Our objective is to support grass-roots research, and we have often been the first funders of medical research that has gone on to receive larger foundation or government grants.
The key areas of research we have funded have included:
- Graft-versus-host disease (the major cause of death in post-transplant patients)
- Haploidentical transplants (where patients do not have a well-matched bone marrow donor)
The research landscape is ever-changing, and we will consider applications from a wide range of disciplines where the project has the potential to improve bone marrow transplant patient outcomes. We invite you to explore our research pages here, or send an email to info@arrow.org.au for more information.
