Transplant Tribe

Transplant Tribe logo. The logo is purely text based and reads: Bone Marrow Transplant Tribe. Information. Stories. Support

Transplant Tribe is a peer support group for bone marrow/stem cell transplant or CAR-T patients and their carers, and part of the Arrow patient support program.

It was established by Lyndell Wills, a bone marrow transplant recipient herself, who went looking for a bone marrow transplant specific support group to join. Unable to find a group, she set about creating Transplant Tribe! Initially the group met in person in and around the Newcastle area, but COVID soon put an end to that, and the meetings became virtual events.

This change to virtual events means that it’s now easier than ever to meet with other people who have had a similar experience to you. If you’re a bone marrow/stem cell transplant patient, a CAR-T patient, or you care for someone who is, please join us. The meetings take the form of an informal chat where you can share as much or as little of your story as you like, where you can ask questions of people who have similar experiences to you, and where you can pick up some great tips on the little things you can do that might help make your treatment and your stay in hospital a little more tolerable.

Meetings are held monthly, on the third Thursday of the month between 5:00 and 6:00 pm.

Sign up here to let us know you’re interested. We’ll send you information and registration links for the meetings as they become available.
