After a 3 year wait, the Allan Frenkel Foundation is excited to be holding its 22nd annual fundraising dinner on Saturday 27th of August, 2022. This event is always a fun filled night celebrating the birthday of Allan Frenkel.

Allan Frenkel was diagnosed with acute lymphatic leukaemia in May 1995 and sadly passed away in January 1996 at just 18 years of age. Allan’s family created the Foundation to raise funds for practical support for teenagers and families touched by cancer.

Proceeds go to two charities close to the Frenkel family’s heart, being Arrow Bone Marrow Transplant Foundation and Canteen. These two organisations were regular visitors to the hospital during Allan’s illness giving him and the family wonderful emotional and physical support.

The Allan Frenkel Foundation have been a strong supporter of Arrow Bone Marrow Transplant Foundation for many years and are the major funder of our patient support programs helping transplant patients with transport, accommodation and emergency funding assistance.

A forced three year hiatus has meant the last two annual fundraisers were cancelled resulting in the absence of invaluable donations to help teenagers living with cancer.  The Allan Frenkel Foundation annual fundraising dinner is a highly successful event and the Foundation’s major fundraiser. This year the Foundation hope to bounce back bigger and better than ever as they host the fundraiser at The Lakes Golf Club for the first time.
