The Blood Annual Conference will make a welcome return to New Zealand in 2026.

BLOOD is the combined annual meeting of the:

• Haematology Society of Australia and New Zealand (HSANZ)
• Australian and New Zealand Society of Blood Transfusion (ANZSBT)
• Thrombosis and Haemostasis society of Australia and New Zealand (THANZ). 

In 2026, the conference will be hosted at the brand-new New Zealand International Convention Centre in Auckland from 18-21 October 2026.

This major international event is expected to welcome more than 1,300 attendees from across the blood science professions With over 100 speakers including 20 international experts, and more than 500 abstracts for oral or poster presentations, the BLOOD conference provides an outstanding opportunity for health care professionals and researchers to stay at the forefront of advances in haematology. The meeting also serves as an invaluable platform for strengthening national and international collaborations within the haematology community.
