Exceptional clinical nursing care

“Provides exceptional evidence based clinical nursing care to patients and families, and in a short timeframe has quickly become a leader and a very valued member of staff” is how Ide Irwin’s Nurse Unit Manager at St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney describes her.
Ide Irwin has been employed as a full time Registered Nurse on the very busy Haematology and Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney since 2018. Looking to develop her theoretical knowledge of cancer nursing and further her specialist nursing career, Ide applied for a scholarship from Arrow to enrol in the Masters of Cancer and Haematology Nursing Course at the University of Sydney.
Thanks to the Trace Richey Scholarship, $10,500 has been awarded for Ide to further her studies.
Ide says “I am delighted and honoured to receive this scholarship. It means so much to me. Studying a Masters is going to be so good for my professional development. Increasing my knowledge will have a direct impact on my patients and colleagues”.
