Graduate Certificate in Cancer Nursing

The Arrow Foundation Graduate Certificate Scholarship supports registered nurses working in bone marrow or stem cell transplantation, and those with a significant portion of their role caring for patients with haematological diseases, to undertake relevant postgraduate study.

The scholarship contributes towards one module of an approved Graduate Certificate course, with fees paid directly to the education provider. Supported study areas may include oncology nursing, principles of cancer care, haematology nursing, apheresis, transplantation nursing, cellular therapies, and other relevant Graduate Certificate studies, including courses offered through the Australian College of Nursing.

Scholarship rounds open in March and September, aligning with university intake periods at the beginning and middle of the year. By supporting access to further education, this scholarship helps nurses obtain formal post graduate qualifications and build specialised knowledge and skills that strengthen patient care and improve treatment outcomes.

Applications are open in March and September.

We give thanks to

The Professor Geoffrey Driscoll Scholarship Fund was developed by Geoff’s wife Mrs Jan Driscoll and her family following the passing of Geoff.  Geoff was first diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2006, and following radiotherapy and chemotherapy, was in and out of remission for his remaining years. Sadly, in May 2016, he developed Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. and following months of gruelling chemotherapy and an unsuccessful stem cell transplant, Geoff succumbed to the disease in October 2016.

Geoff’s family wanted to mark this very special man’s life by establishing a scholarship. The Professor Geoffrey Driscoll Scholarship Fund is their way of saying thank you to all those specialist, caring nurses and to encourage more to take up the study of haematology and related blood disorders, so they too can continue to make an incredible impact on other patients’ treatment journeys.
