The Allan Frenkel Foundation continue their support of Arrow

The Allan Frenkel Foundation was born in 1997, the year Allan would have been 19.
Allan Frenkel is described as joyful and happy young man, the life of the party, and always ready for fun. That’s how Allan’s family and friends remember him. Those fond memories are also tinged with great sadness though, because one Sunday in May 1995, when he was still just a young man, Allan was diagnosed with acute lymphatic leukaemia.
He passed away in January of 1996, at only 18 years of age.
His family refuse to dwell on the grief, though, and gather together with friends every year to celebrate Allan’s life and to raise funds to support other families facing similar circumstances. This year, the Arrow team had the honour of being part of those celebrations, and shared a fabulous evening of joy and laughter together with Allan’s family and friends.
We are extremely thankful to Marissa and Eduardo Frenkel and their sons Ian and Pablo for their continued generosity in helping to fund our patient support program, recently presenting us with a donation of $14,000, bringing their total support of Arrow’s program over the years close to $120,000. The money raised through the Allan Frenkel Foundation dinner helps pay for groceries, petrol, accommodation and other household bills for families facing similar circumstances to the Frenkels.
