Be a bloody good human with Simmo — and help break a record!

Thursday July 31, 2025 to Thursday July 31, 2025

Simmo the "bloody good human" standing with the Australian bush in the background. He is wearing a felt hat and a t-shirt that reads "blood donor for life"

Join us on Thursday 31st July as we join forces with Simmo and attempt to set a record for the most blood donations in a single day through a single team.

We’ve arranged for any blood (or plasma) donations made through Arrow’s Lifeblood Team to be included in the Bloody Good Humans effort on the day.

So if you’re able
to donate, book in to do so any time on 31st July, tell the lovely people at Lifeblood that you want to be part of the ARROW THE BONE MARROW TRANSPLANT FOUNDATION TEAM (or add yourself to your team via your Lifeblood app)
If you have trouble making a booking or joining our team on the app, simply call Lifeblood and their friendly staff will help you.

Will you join us and be part of this lifesaving effort?

About Simmo

Simmo has set himself a major challenge: He’s traveling around the country and making a plasma donation every two weeks at EVERY Lifeblood Collection Centre in the country!

When we last checked, he was at 79 out of 81 centres! And it’s all culminating in the attempt on 31st July to break the current record of 552 donations on a single day by a single team.

Why this is important to Arrow

You know that we support patients both financially and emotionally throughout their transplants, but did you also know that people having bone marrow and stem cell transplants are often dependent on blood transfusions, and some go on to need other blood products to support them for months as they recover? Regular blood donations by those of us who can do so are vitally important.

AND while you’re at Lifeblood, you can also ask about whether you’re eligible to become a stem cell donor, too!
If you’re able to, please book in to donate on 31st July 2025, join Arrow the Bone Marrow Transplant Foundation Lifeblood Team, help set a new record and help save lives at the same time.
